hilarious topical songcrafter performs his show, Real American
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

In the months before last year's presidential election, Roy Zimmerman drove 12,000 miles and flew 12,000 more to perform his satirical songs in 107 shows at venues large and small across the U.S. Tonight's performance, Real American, features Roy's hilarious songs about ignorance, war, and greed, with lots of new material infused with his on-the-road experiences—and driven, as always, by the headlines. There's a limbo-like song about Rush Limbaugh ("How low can you go?"), a frightening song about the thing arch-conservatives fear most, "San Francisco Values", and there's even a "Sing-along Second Amendment."

A writer of clever, tuneful lampoons for over two decades, Roy founded and wrote all the material for the comedy folk quartet The Foremen. Since then he's skewered American socio-politics on National Public Radio and Air America Radio, in folk clubs across the country, and on fiercely funny solo CDs like his recent Thanks for the Support. Roy added new feathers to his cap recently when his tune "Buddy, Can You Spare a Trillion Dollars?" landed him a mention on the front page of the Wall Street Journal,, an unaccustomed honor for a folkie, and his video, "Summer of Loving," hit the You Tube charts.
