unique blend of bluegrass and jazz with Celtic and Scandinavian folk
Door 7:00 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

An exciting new addition to the contemporary string band scene, Scott Nygaard & Crow Molly brings together the impressive talents of Grammy-winning guitarist Scott Nygaard and young string virtuosos Joe Walsh (mandolin) and Lauren Rioux (fiddle). Designed to showcase Scott's original material—a unique and seamless blend of bluegrass and jazz with Celtic and Scandinavian folk influences—the trio has created an infectious, melodic sound that will appeal to Celtic, folk, and bluegrass audiences as well as open-eared fans of contemporary acoustic instrumental music.

Scott has performed and recorded with Tim O'Brien, Laurie Lewis, Chris Thile, Jerry Douglas, Darol Anger, and many others. Incorporating far-flung influences into a powerful flat-pick guitar style, he has also won numerous Grammy nominations for his stellar sidemanship and released two acclaimed instrumental CDs on Rounder.

The Berklee College of Music's first mandolin graduate, Joe Walsh plays with some of the best acoustic acts in New England. A rising star in the national fiddle scene, Lauren Rioux has performed with Darol Anger's Republic of Strings and the StringNation Orkestra. Her sweet, sensuous sound and vibrant rhythmic sensibility make her the perfect fiddler for Crow Molly's expansive contemporary string band sound.
