"Tony Marcus singing is the definition of mellifluous"—Derk Richardson, East Bay Express.
Tony Marcus, veteran of such Freight favorites as Cats & Jammers and The Cheap Suit Serenaders, celebrates the release of two new CDs. The first, Vanishing Point, contains all original material and covers the stylistic gamut from retro-rock to swing to acoustic singer-songwriter. The second, Steel Swinging, is a live recording with Bobby Black on pedal steel, Paul Anastasio on fiddle (both veterans of Asleep at the Wheel and many other bands) and Tony on guitar and vocals.
Both Bobby and Paul will perform, as will a number of the musicians on Vanishing Point, including Nova Devonie (from the much missed Ranch Romance) on accordion and Jeff Sanford (of the Cartoon Jazz Band) on saxophone.
