Celtic American duo's CD release show
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $20.50

Freight favorites Robin Flower and Libby McLaren present an evening of exhilarating instrumentals, tight vocal harmonies, creative energy, and loads of fun in celebration of their new CD, Twenty Years • Twenty Rivers. Robin's agile fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, and Libby's high-energy grooves on piano and accordion (and great vocals from both of them) are backed tonight by the red-hot bass of Jan Martinelli, Danny Carnahan's masterful multi-instrumental wizardry, and percussionist extraordinaire, Peter Maund.

Provocative songwriters, powerful singers, and dazzling instrumentalists, Robin and Libby redefine the boundaries of contemporary folk music with their fusion of original songs and musical traditions from distant corners of the world. Always full of surprises, each of the pair's musical offerings comes spiced with humor, hope, and heart. In the words of folk goddess Ronnie Gilbert: "To be in the presence of their joyous musicianship, so full of passion for life, is to travel in the realm of pure delight."

Come along for what's sure to be an exhilarating musical ride!
