straight-up, authentic Memphis-americana - CD Release Show
Cory Branan opens
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

Join Southern ex-pat singer-songwriters Bob Frank and John Murry tonight as they celebrate the release of their new CD, Brinkley, Ark. and Other Assorted Love Songs (Evangeline), with the able backing of the Lansky Brothers.

Continuing their exploration of the deeply winding byways of gothic americana terrain, Bob and John present songs from the impressive follow-up to their last CD, an acclaimed collection of true murder ballads titled World Without End. The new release mines a similar vein of longing and loss, but this time around the stories are more personal and death's antithesis, love, is the focal point. Very much a departure for the two aesthetically, the new songs have been dubbed "redneck soul" by Bob and John, their strong, emotionally honest songwriting encapsulated by fiery Southern Rock-influenced guitar work.

Fresh from performing at the South by Southwest festival, songwriter Cory Branan opens tonight's show.
