award-winning singer-songwriter from Boston
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

A Boston-based artist with a sweet, husky voice and a knack for writing catchy, propulsive songs, Chris O'Brien has been popping up everywhere these days, from an appearance on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion (in the "People in Their Twenties" talent contest) to winning New Artist of the Year for 2007 honors from Boston's folk music radio station, WUMB. This year, Chris has been traveling all over America, from the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, where he was chosen as an Emerging Artist, to the Mountain Stage New Song competition, where he was a finalist. For this summer, he's also won a spot on the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk competition and the Telluride Troubadour competition. Busy fella.

Tonight, Chris showcases songs about transition, change, and relationships from his new CD, Lighthouse.
