fire & soul from Americana roots innovators
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

Be the first old-time fan on the block to hear tunes fresh from the Crooked Jades' new CD, Shining Darkness. Original numbers are in the spotlight tonight as the innovative San Francisco-based string band continues its fascinating exploration of the alchemy of art and darkness.

On a mission to reinvent old-time music, the Crooked Jades push boundaries and blur categories with their fiery performances of driving dance tunes and haunting ballads drawn from the hidden gems of the traditional music repertoire and their own beautiful original compositions.

The Jades began their journey with bandleader Jeff Kazor's vision of reviving the dark and hypnotic sounds of pre-radio music by interweaving this old-time foundation with diverse musical influences from Europe and Africa. In the Jades' current lineup, Jeff is joined by Leah Abramson on vocals, ukulele, guitar and harmonium, bass player Charlie Rose, banjo/slide guitar player Rose Sinclair, and prodigy fiddler Sophie Vitells.
