songwriter double bill
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

Two women known for their edgy, magnetic performances join forces for a powerful double bill.

A New York-based folk singer-songwriter who's also heavily influenced by jazz and the blues, Natalia Zukerman has an engaging sound that's quite unique. Combining intimate, darkly atmospheric lyrics with sultry, earthy vocals and nimble-fingered guitar and slide guitar playing, Natalia spotlights originals from her most recent CD, Only One. The daughter of violinist/conductor Pinchas Zukerman and flutist Eugenia Zukerman, Natalia is a consummate performer.

One of San Francisco's finest singer-songwriters, Heather Combs is a powerhouse on stage. With raw, compelling songs and a voice that swerves between sweet and rough, strong and vulnerable, Heather's stage shows are fiery, funny, intense, and unafraid to take risks. Heather has released several solo CDs, most recently Feel Like Flying. Oh yes, and one more thing: Heather and her band (who have opened shows for everyone from The Who and Tom Petty to Los Lobos and David Lindley) were voted "Best Band of the Bay Area" by San Francisco Magazine in 2004.
