spellbinding, uplifting music from a true innovator enriched by the ancient spirit of Ireland
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50

Celebrate St Patrick's Day weekend with Dublin-born singer-songwriter Melanie O'Reilly and her band Aisling, which includes Sean O Nuallain on guitar, Bobbi Nikles on fiddle, Myra Chaney on cello, John Kadyk on clarinet. Melanie will also be joined by one of California's top piano players, Frank Martin, who has worked with Sting, Whitney Houston, and Dizzy Gillespie among others. With songs new and old, including numbers from her recent CD, Dust and Blood, the performance spotlights Melanie's unique melding of jazz and bossa nova with the Irish vocal tradition.

Since becoming a part of the Freight's family of musicians a few year's ago, Downbeat magazine dubbed her Ireland's international ambassador, the Irish Times lauded her "breathtaking and amazing emotional intensity and sheer virtuosity," and her regular music program on Ireland's national radio broadcasting station was voted "Critics Choice" in several Irish media polls.

Melanie has captivated audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with her powerful and haunting soundscapes. Come prepared to be spellbound!
