Featuring bluegrass stalwarts Kathy Kallick and Bill Evans, Rustler's Moon promises an evening of stellar, soulful music that's innovative and in the pocket—and fun.

Rustler's Moon reflects Kathy and Bill's mixture of reverence for traditional bluegrass and their skill at creating distinctive originals, not to mention their infectious ability to have a really good time with the music. With a repertoire comprised of tunes from their previous bands, plus plenty of new pieces, Rustler's Moon promises a multifaceted evening of music reaching back into the past and forward into the future of bluegrass.

Kathy (guitar, vocals) has been among the elite of contemporary songwriters and singers since co-founding, with Laurie Lewis, the internationally acclaimed band, Good Ol' Persons, in 1975. In 2001, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Bluegrass Association for her contributions, both solo and with acclaimed groups like the Kathy Kallick Band. Premier banjo player Bill Evans has been involved with bluegrass for more than 25 years, and currently performs with Jody Stecher (The Secret Life of Banjos), the Bluegrass Intentions, Due West, and the Bill Evans String Summit. In Rustler's Moon, Kathy and Bill are joined by acoustic bassist Cindy Browne (Due West, String Summit, Wake the Dead) and Tom Bekeny (the Kathy Kallick Band, High Country) on mandolin, fiddle, and vocals.
