the travelling lady of song & story
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $20.50

Rosalie Sorrels' singing and wise, gritty stories bring forth a huge life brimming with adventure as well as tragedy, rich in meaning and texture. Ranging from prairie ballads that echo her Idaho upbringing to songs about contemporary concerns, Rosalie captivates audiences with her amazing depth of compassion and wit, not to mention her stunning voice. Gamble Rogers once described her as "the hillbilly Edith Piaf."

With her most recent release the Grammy-nominated My Last Go Round, Rosalie speaks from a deep, deep well of experience. An outspoken hero for folk culture, she has spent much of her long life gathering an encyclopedic knowledge of the folk idiom, from English ballads to the work of contemporary songwriters, and working to preserve the oral tradition with her own songs and stories.

Be sure to join Rosalie for what's sure to be one of this year's most memorable shows!
