harmonica ace & his acoustic ensemble
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $18.50
Bay Area harmonica virtuoso Norton Buffalo is a deep, soulful musician and the undisputed jaw-droppingest mouth harp player around. As the Salt Lake Tribune puts it, "To say that Norton plays harmonica is on the order of calling Miles Davis a trumpeter." An accomplished showman and singer, as well as a harp blower with an incredible command of nuance and improvisation, Norton's career includes a long stint as a member of the Steve Miller Band as well as work with musicians as diverse as Bonnie Raitt, The Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, and Olivia Newton-John.

Norton is also a prolific composer whose credits include Oliver Stone's film The Doors and several Peanuts cartoons as well as numerous recordings including his 2003 duo album with longtime cohort Roy Rogers, Roots of Our Nature. Joining Norton tonight on guitar and vocals are his wife Lisa Flores and David Aguilar, forming a tasty three-way blend of tones, rhythms, harmonies, and personalities.
