Grammy Award winning traditional music master
The Infamous Stringdusters open
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | WE ARE SOLD OUT OF ADVANCE TICKETS FOR THIS SHOW

"Come all ye fans of the roots and the branches . . . I like to view the big mountain of music from every angle," says Tim O'Brien, the West Virginia multi-instrumentalist and song-crafter who has spent the past few decades building a fascinating bridge between the traditional sounds of the hill country and many of its roots and branches, including modern styles of bluegrass. As co-founder and lead vocalist of the acclaimed band Hot Rize, and more recently a wide variety of innovative collaborations like Newgrange, Tim has become one of the most respected and beloved singers and musicians in the burgeoning americana genre.

Tim is famed for his great songwriting, pitch-perfect voice, and enlightened explorations of the landscape of roots music, on acclaimed albums like The Crossing, which digs into the rich wellspring of Celtic music and its Appalachian and bluegrass descendants. His latest CD is Fiddler's Green (Sugar Hill), a stunning mix of traditional and original songs that just won him the 2005 Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album and two 2006 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, for Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Opening for Tim tonight are the Infamous String Dusters, a young Nashville band currently making waves on the bluegrass scene with their fiery playing and tight, dynamic shows.
