18th annual Mother's Day celebration
Door 12:30 P.M., Music 1:00 P.M. | $7.50 kids, $9.50 adults

Kathy Kallick's 18th annual Mother's Day concert promises big fun for all! This show always puts songs in hearts and smiles on faces, with a flower for every mother and a grand finale extravaganza where Kathy invites all the kids on stage to dance and sing along!

The performance spotlights Kathy's wonderful original songs, including "Use a Napkin (Not Your Mom)," the title track from an album that USA Today praised for its "lively, humorous, thoughtful, historical, merry music." Backing Kathy today is Rustler's Moon, the red-hot new band she leads with banjo ace Bill Evans. Also featuring acoustic bassist Cindy Browne (Due West, String Summit, Wake the Dead) and Tom Bekeny (The Kathy Kallick Band, High Country) on mandolin, fiddle, and vocals, Rustler's Moon makes music that is accessible and amusing, provocative and powerful, dazzling and delightful.

Kathy (guitar, vocals) has been among the elite of contemporary songwriters and singers since co-founding, with Laurie Lewis, the internationally acclaimed band, Good Ol' Persons, in 1975. In 2001, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the California Bluegrass Association for her contributions, both solo and with acclaimed groups like the Kathy Kallick Band. Premier banjo player Bill Evans has been involved with bluegrass for more than 25 years, and currently performs with Jody Stecher (The Secret Life of Banjos), The Bluegrass Intentions, Due West, and the Bill Evans String Summit.
