Canadian roots music ensemble
Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

In the words of Nathan's songwriters, Keri Latimer and Shelley Marshall, "The prairies may be flat, but the lives on the prairies are full of hidden caves, impossibly high mountains and murky oceans." Hailing from the flatlands of Winnipeg, this alt-country quartet harnesses the essence of the Canadian prairies with alluring songs about the eccentric lives of the people who dwell there. From small-town restlessness to the dark side of domestic life, Nathan's songs mix familiar themes with a highly contemporary sensibility and beautiful imagery to create music that is soulful, unpredictable, and mysterious.

Nathan features singer/guitarist Keri and singer/accordionist/banjo player/guitarist Shelley, along with Devin Latimer on bass and Damon Mitchell on percussion. The band has been building a loyal following among audiences and critics alike over the past few years, especially since their 2005 CD, Jimson Weed, won a passel of Western Canadian Music Awards and Canadian Folk Music Awards. They recently released a follow up, Key Principles.
