What better way to spend the evening than to pull up a chair at the Freight and enjoy some of the finest singer-songwriters the Bay Area has to offer? (And that's saying a lot!) Vocalists Beth Robinson, Elaine Dempsey, Megan McLaughlin, cellist Patty Espeseth, join forces for an evening of solo and ensemble performance brimming with poetry and inspiration.

Beth sings thought-provoking originals in a lush, velvety voice. One of the few Freight Open Mic performers to win billing in two of our "Best of the Hoots" nights, she also (along with Elaine and Megan) appeared in our wildly popular Joni Mitchell Song Night.

Virginia native Elaine blends folk, rock, and gospel-blues to create a dynamic vocal and acoustic guitar style. Her music has won recognition in various national songwriting contests.

Megan performs evocative originals, ranging from groove-oriented rock to poignant ballads, with her sweet, clear vocals, a touch of vulnerability, and gentle soulfulness.
